Wingecarribee Shire Council will join neighbouring Wollondilly Shire Council and Resilience NSW in hosting a two-day Response, Recovery and Resilience Expo from Tuesday 3 May 2022 at the Mittagong RSL.

The free Expo will feature a panel of guest speakers and specialist stallholders from local and regional welfare, service, recovery and support agencies.

Wingecarribee Shire’s General Manager Lisa Miscamble said almost a dozen speakers and over 30 stallholders were confirmed for the Expo.

“One of the highlights will be a discussion led by former NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner and now Commissioner of Resilience NSW, Shane Fitzsimmons,” she said.

“Other speakers will include community and welfare professionals, bushfire experts, insurance and environment specialists and staff from both Councils.”

Speakers will cover a range of issues including immediate disaster response information, ongoing recovery assistance advice and preparedness for future events.

Residents and business owners from both Wingecarribee and Wollondilly Shires are encouraged to attend the free Expo at the Mittagong RSL on Tuesday 3 May and Wednesday 4 May 2022.

Tuesday’s program will start at 9am and conclude at 6.30pm while Wednesday’s program will start at 9.00am and finish at 4.00pm.

Places are strictly limited and registrations are essential.
