Wingecarribee Shire Council will once again be taking its office on the road visiting the residents of Balmoral on Wednesday 6 July as part of its newly launched mobile roadshow.

Council’s General Manager, Jason Gordon said the roadshow – or Information Kiosk – was an opportunity for residents to ask questions of Council without having to visit the Moss Vale Civic Centre.

“Staff from numerous departments will be on hand to answer questions about a whole range of Council services.

“Engineers, Planners, Rangers, Customer and Community Service Officers will be in attendance to answer any specific Council related queries residents may have,” he said.

The idea of the one-stop-shop grew from community feedback from Wingecarribee 2031+, Council’s long-term community plan for the Southern Highlands.

“This initiative is a direct response from residents who told us they wanted Council to be more actively involved in the community.

“The Information Kiosk is our first step towards becoming more accessible and visible to the public and in the coming months we’ll be visiting all the towns and villages in the Shire,” Mr Gordon said.

The Balmoral Information Kiosk will be held at the Balmoral Village Hall located on Hall Road, Balmoral on Wednesday 6 July from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
