Wingecarribee Shire Council has today launched the annual Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme.

Under this year’s scheme Council will distribute up to $120,000 to assist local not-for-profit organisations across the Shire.

The scheme aims to encourage and increase participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships within our Highlands community.

Grants and donations can be sought to fund programs, equipment or capital works which aim to establish, improve or enhance cultural, sporting, welfare, health promotion, community development or leisure services.

Last year more than 80 projects put forward by local sports clubs, churches, charities, community centres and singing groups shared in the funding.

Under the scheme two types of funding are available, Community Assistance Scheme Donations up to $600 and Community Assistance Scheme Grants up to $7,000.

All applications must be submitted online.  Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Applicants can access the 2021/2022 Guidelines and submit their applications online from Council’s website at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/Community/Grants-Funding-Opportunities#section-1.

To help prospective applicants Council will host a Grants Writing Workshop on 1 March 2021.  The workshop will be hosted by The Grants Guy and provide participants with tips and strategies on how to write a successful submission.

Council’s Grants Writing Workshop will be held at the Moss Vale Services Club between 6.00pm and 8.00pm on Monday 1 March 2021.  The workshop is free to attend but bookings are essential.  To confirm a seat email Council at community.development@wsc.nsw.gov.au or phone 4868 0888.

The Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme closes at 4pm on Wednesday 31 March 2021.
