Bushfire Management Plan online for fire season
As the warmer weather approaches, Wingecarribee Shire Council is reminding residents that access to Council’s Small Reserves Fire Management Plan is available online.
The plan includes detailed maps and fire management zones designed to manage the risk of bush fire in eight small reserves across the Shire. These reserves include Leaver Park in Bundanoon, Yerrinbool Reserve, Medway Reserve and reserves in Berrima, Boronia Park and Hill Top.
The plan looks at important fire management issues in these areas including bushfire preparedness and a five-year work program for Council.
The Small Reserves Bushfire Management Plan is the result of a nine month study which included input from residents, community groups and government agencies.
