Bowral Pool to open this weekend

Bowral Swimming Centre will be the first of Council’s outdoor public pools to open for the 2017/18 swim season with gates opening this Saturday 7 October.

Bowral’s Swimming Centre’s operating hours will be:

  • Monday to Friday – 6.00am to 6.00pm
  • Saturdays – 8.30am to 6.00pm
  • Sundays – 9.30am to 6.00pm
  • Public holidays (excluding Christmas Day) – 10.00am to 5.00pm

The Southern Highlands Water Polo Club will have exclusive use of the 50 metre pool on Tuesday evenings from 5.00pm.  Visit www.revolutionise.com.au/shwpolo/home for more information on the Southern Highlands Water Polo Club.

The Mittagong Swimming Club will also base itself from the Bowral Swimming Centre for the 2017/18 season. Find out more about the club at masc.acenet.com.au.

If the forecast temperature is greater than 35 degrees the pool will remain open until 7.00pm providing no prior bookings have been secured.

The Bowral Pool swim season has been extended to a total of 24 weeks to compensate for the closure of Mittagong Swimming Pool which will remain closed for the season as storm damage repairs continue.

Bowral Swimming Centre will subsequently remain open until Sunday 25 March 2018.

The Bundanoon Swimming Pool season begins on Saturday 11 November and runs until 4 March 2018.

Council reminds patrons that all of Council’s outdoor public pools are heated to 24 degrees.
