Bowral Swimming Centre will be the first of Council’s outdoor public pools to open for the 2016/17 swim season with gates opening this Saturday 8 October.

Bowral’s Swimming Centre’s operating hours will be:

  • Monday to Friday                                              –         6.00am to 6.00pm
  • Saturdays                                                            –         8.30am to 6.00pm
  • Sundays                                                               –         9.30am to 6.00pm
  • Public holidays (excluding Christmas Day) –        10.00am to 5.00pm

The pool will remain open until 26 March 2017.

The Southern Highlands Water Polo will have exclusive use of the 50 metre pool on Tuesday evenings from 5pm whilst the Mittagong Swim Club will meet on Friday evenings from 6.00pm.

The Bundanoon Swimming Pool season begins on Saturday 12 November and runs until 5 March 2017.

Mittagong Swimming Pool will unfortunately remain closed for the season as a result of extensive damage sustained in June’s East Coast Low storm event.

The Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre continues to remain open all year round.  Visit www.mvaquatic.com.au for full opening hours, programs and facility details.

The Whale Tail inflatable pool toy will also be doing the rounds again this season so keep an eye out for sightings or ask Pool Attendants for details.

Council reminds patrons that all of Council’s outdoor public pools are heated to 24 degrees.

For a full list of all of Council’s pool facilities, entry times and fees, visit www.wsc.nsw.gov.au.

Bowral Swimming Centre is located at the corner of Mittagong Road and Oxley Drive, Bowral.

Note: Bowral Swimming Pool will be temporarily closed from 8.30am until 4.00pm on Tuesday 11 October 2016 while Endeavour Energy undertakes essential electrical maintenance work in the area.  Should these works be completed as per schedule, Council anticipates re-opening the pool at 4.30pm.
