Bowral Pool

Bowral Pool will be the first public pool to open this weekend as Wingecarribee Shire Council prepares for the upcoming swimming season.

The pool officially opens on Saturday 13 October 2018.

Council’s Supervisor Pools and Facilities, Laura Hill, said that Bowral Swimming Centre was the perfect place to enjoy the warmer months.

“We have two outdoor swimming pools, a covered toddler and wading pool, a fully equipped kiosk and shaded grassy areas that are perfect for picnics.”

Operating hours will be from 8.30am on Saturdays, 9.30am on Sundays and 6.00am weekdays with the facility closing at 6.00pm each night. Visit Council’s website for public holiday opening hours.

Extensive damage as a result of the 2016 East Coast Low storm event saw the Mittagong Swimming Centre close for the 2017/18 swim season. Repair work is nearing completion and weather permitting, the Centre will open in time for the upcoming summer school holidays.

Bundanoon Pool will open on Saturday 17 November. Visit Council’s website for opening hours.

All Council pools are heated to 24 degrees Celsius.

Bowral Swimming Centre is located at the corner of Mittagong Road and Oxley Drive, Bowral.
