With 2013 flying by it’s hard to believe it’s almost time for another group of enthusiastic year 12 students to hit the books in preparation for their Higher School Certificates.

But with the written exams less than four months away, Bowral Library is busy putting together study sessions to help Highlands students prepare.

Bowral Library will host a free seminar on Wednesday, 10 July on the Area of Study – Belonging. The seminar will be presented by Larry Grumley, who is a veteran HSC exam marker, study guide author and Head of English at Catherine McAuley College in Westmead.

Larry brings over 25 years of experience in teaching both in Australia and overseas and will help students get their head around the topic and exam requirements. The seminar will focus on the extended response, writing task and short answer comprehension.

The free session will run from 1.30pm – 3pm on Wednesday, 10 July in the Henrietta Rose Room next to Bowral Library on Bendooley Street, Bowral. Bookings are essential and can be made at: www.belonginghscseminar.eventbrite.com.au.

Wingecarribee Libraries support HSC students with a variety of study events, including a HSC skills and essay writing seminar which was held earlier in the year, and an upcoming study lock in scheduled for the week before exams commence.
