Wingecarribee Shire Council’s annual May Day Auction will be held this Saturday 28 May at Council’s Resource Recovery Centre.

Council’s Reviva Centre Team Leader Vicki Schaefer said the auction was a great opportunity to snare some pre-loved treasures.

“We regularly have visitors attend the event from as far as Goulburn, the Illawarra and even Sydney in search of bargain,” she said.

This year a range of almost two hundred antiques, curios and collectibles, old wares, vintage dolls, toys, magazines and books will all go under the hammer.

Viewing is from 9.00am this Saturday the 28 May with the auction starting at 10.00am.

The auction will take place at Council’s Reviva facility located within the Resource Recovery Centre on Berrima Road, Moss Vale.

“Whilst some great items will undoubtedly be up for auction this Saturday, it’s important to remember bargains can be found everyday at the Reviva Centre,” Vicki added.

The Reviva Centre is part of Council’s Resource Recovery Centre and is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9.00am to 3.00pm.

The centre stocks a wide range of goods including electrical appliances, furniture, mowers, computer packages, laptops, IT accessories, clothing, bric-a-brac and hardware.

Building and landscaping materials including mulch, decorative gravel and railway sleepers are also widely available.

Entry to the May Day Auction is FREE.

A gold coin donation sausage sizzle will be available with all proceeds going towards Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Animal Shelter.
