Wingecarribee Shire Council is encouraging music lovers to attend the upcoming ‘Plugged at the Pool’ summer outdoor concert this Saturday 20 February.

Council’s Youth Liaison Officer, Michelle Williams said the event was an opportunity for locals to witness some of our Shire’s brightest rising stars.

“On show will be a number of great young acts showcasing their talents this coming Saturday at the Mittagong Pool,” she said.

“We’ve got a variety of local young talent secured for the afternoon with something that’s sure to appeal to everyone including gypsy jazz trio Doux Manouche and a number of solo acoustic performers,” she said.

The Mittagong Plugged at the Pool follows a similar concert held last December at Council’s Bowral Swimming Pool.

“The feedback from both patrons and artists at our earlier gig was extremely positive,” Michelle said.  “I encourage everyone to come out and support our local youth and witness some truly gifted musicians at this final pool concert for the season.”

“Apart from showcasing some of our Shire’s amazing talent, these types of events are also an opportunity for our young artists to get a taste of what may be their first live audience,” Michelle added.

“And if we get the public’s continued support for these types of concerts we can hopefully continue to bring them back and make them a regular event.”

Plugged at the Pool will be held at Mittagong Swimming Pool on Saturday 20 February from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.

Council’s Whale Tail pool toy will also be operational for the duration of the event.

Normal pool entry costs apply.
