Young at Heart film screenings for Seniors Week

Wingecarribee Shire Council is set to host the 7th annual Young at Heart Seniors Film Festival as part of its 2012 Seniors Week celebrations.

The free screenings will take place at the Hill Top Community Centreand Robertson CTC and recognise the best Australian short films featuring actors aged over 60 years.

Council’s Ageing and Disability Worker, Nicola Robson said the film festival was one of the highlights of the 2012 program.

“This year seven short films are being screened as part of the festival across more than 25 venues throughout New South Wales including our own Shire,” she said.

The films feature a mix of home grown stories from comedy to drama.

The Young at Heart Film Festival is run with the assistance of Ageing, Disability and Home Care, Department of Family and Community Services, NSW Seniors Week and major sponsors Globus, Cochlear and National Seniors.
