What’s your summer holiday Plan B?

With the festive season just around the corner, Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Councillor Duncan Gair is encouraging residents to organise their Plan B before they head off to a party.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re attending a party around the block or out in town,” Councillor Gair said.  “If you’re planning on having a drink, organise a safe trip home in advance.”

“We don’t want to sound like wowsers, but if party-goers are planning on having a drink, we urge them to take a few moments prior to attending their function to organise a safe return trip home,” he said.

“This way everyone can enjoy a great time out and we’re all back safe and sound to enjoy 2015 with family and friends.”

In conjunction with Transport for NSW, Council is subsequently asking partygoers to give some thought as to their summer holiday Plan B for a chance to win one of two cricket bats signed by the NSW Blues Cricket team.

“All our residents have to do to be in the running for the prize is to tell us, in 25 words or less, What’s your Plan B?,” the Mayor said.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s funny or real, we’re just urging patrons to organise a responsible trip home before enjoying a great night out.

“Because random breath testing really does mean you need a Plan B!”
