Council’s popular giant inflatable pool toy is set to surface for the opening of Bowral Swimming Centre this Saturday 2 November.

Weather permitting the wet and wild fun will kick off at 11.00am before finishing at 2.00pm.

All children under 10 years of age must be directly supervised by a responsible guardian 16 years of age or over and non-swimmers must identify themselves to the lifeguard and be partnered with an appropriate person.

Bowral is the second of Council’s public swimming pools to open for the 2013/14 swim season following the opening of Mittagong Pool in October.

Bowral Swimming Centre’s standard hours of operation are:

  •  Monday to Fridays – 6.00am to 6.00pm
  •  Saturdays – 9.00am to 6.00pm
  • Sundays and Public Holidays – 10.00am to 6.00pm

Between 26 December 2013 through until the 24 January 2014, Bowral Swimming Centre may remain open for an additional hour until 7.00pm should the weather be conducive to swimming.

Cost to ride the Whale Tail is $2 per person (plus standard admission costs) for unlimited use during its three hour visit.

With all of Council’s pools heated to 24 degrees, the Whale Tail is expected to make a number of return visits to the Shire’s public pools.
