Wilson Drive road works

4 March, 2020

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that road and stormwater drainage works have commenced on Wilson Drive in Hill Top.

The project involves upgrading the stormwater infrastructure on a 500 metre section of the road approximately one kilometre south of Hill Top.

These works will improve road safety by replacing a deep roadside table drain with stormwater pipes and a shallow concrete drain.

During construction activities Wilson Drive will remain open to traffic but will be reduced to alternating one-way flow under traffic control.

Council is aware of delays caused on the evening of 3 March and has reviewed traffic control measures to minimise impacts, particularly during peak travel times.

The works had originally been planned for the New Year period but were rescheduled as a result of the bush fires.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists and residents in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

Works are expected to be completed by May 2020.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.

Funding for the project is provided via the Australian Government’s Black Spot Programme.
