Water main installation Bowral Road, Mittagong
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that water main relocation works are scheduled to commence on Bowral Road, Mittagong from Sunday 26 May 2019.
The works will involve installing a new water main from the bend in Cavendish Street into the existing polyethylene water main.
These works will be undertaken by specialist contractor Carve Earthworks.
The hours of construction will be from 7.00am to 6.00pm over the two consecutive Sundays of 26 May and 2 June 2019.
During these hours Cavendish Street will be completely closed at the intersection of Bowral Road.
Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions including detours, exercise care when travelling through the construction zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.
Signage will also be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site to manage traffic during work hours. Where possible, motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
The project is scheduled to be completed by 2 June 2019. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
