Throsby Street Reconstruction Works

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that road works are scheduled to commence on Throsby Street in Moss Vale on Monday 19 April 2021.

These works are in addition to water and sewer main renewal works currently underway which are expected to be completed by the end of June 2021.

Road works are scheduled to take place over a 560-metre section of Throsby Street between Spring Street and Yarrawa Road.

Works will include the construction of new stormwater drainage, footpath, kerb and gutter renewal, road pavement reconstruction and tree planting.

Construction works will be completed in two stages to ensure minimal disruption and inconvenience to road users and neighbouring properties:

  • Stage one – Section of Spring Street to Chapman Street: stormwater drainage, road pavement reconstruction and footpath and kerb and gutter renewals
  • Stage two – Section of Chapman Street to Yarrawa Road: road pavement reconstruction.

Stage one works are expected to be completed by the end of June 2021. Stage two works will commence in July 2021.

Construction activities will be carried out between 7 am and 6 pm weekdays.

During construction, sections of the road may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic. The road will remain open to through traffic with property access being maintained.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Road works are expected to be completed by the end of August 2021. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
