Temporary closure Wingecarribee St

18 July, 2014

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that to enable urgent sewer main repairs in Wingecarribee Street, Bowral, access will be restricted for three days from Tuesday 22 July to Thursday 24 July 2014.

The temporary closure is to allow Council maintenance staff and contractors to excavate the pavement in the street and to lay a new sewer main which will pass through to the eastern side of Station Street.

The partial closure will affect the section of Wingecarribee Street located between Bong Bong and Station Streets, from 7.30am to 5.30pm on Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 July 2014.

Whilst the three day closure will affect general traffic, limited vehicular access will be provided for couriers and business staff parking.

Nearby Station Street will also be restricted to one lane past the construction zone until the road restorations are complete in mid-August 2014.

Traffic Controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the repairs and signage will be erected warning motorists of the works and advising of detours.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
