Temp closure of Victoria St footbridge

24 July, 2015

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as a part of its capital improvement works program, pedestrian access will be temporarily unavailable across the Victoria Street pedestrian bridge in Bowral as Council replaces the structure.

The work will involve removing the existing old timber pedestrian bridge and replacing it with a renovated steel pedestrian bridge.

During the upgrade motorists travelling in the vicinity are reminded to exercise care when traveling through the work zone, follow the changed traffic conditions and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the area.

Weather permitting the works are expected to be completed by early August.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
