Temporary closure of Ellsmore Road, Bundanoon
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that Ellsmore Road in Bundanoon will be closed to all traffic between Ringwood Lane and Morgans Road this Saturday 6 December 2014.
The temporary closure is to allow Council staff to excavate and lay two large diameter drainage pipes across the road.
The works are part of a $270,000 upgrade to the secondary access road between Bundanoon and Exeter.
In addition to the drainage installation, other works planned as part of the road’s improvements include a comprehensive re-forming and re-shaping and complete re-sheeting along the entire three kilometre rural road.
Weather permitting, the road will be re-opened to traffic on Sunday 7 December.
Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
Once re-opened, Council reminds motorists travelling along Ellsmore Road to exercise care when traveling through the work zone and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the area.
Works are expected to be completed by early January 2015.
