Temporary changes to SRLX cattle viewing

17 September, 2021

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise livestock buyers seeking to purchasing cattle at the Southern Regional Livestock Exchange (SRLX) that stock can only be viewed and purchased on sale days only.

Cattle sales continue to be held every Wednesday as per normal, however, viewing of stock in the days prior to the sales have been temporarily suspended.

The suspension of stock viewing outside of sale days is intended to minimise physical interaction amongst industry workers and ensure livestock sales can safely continue at the Moss Vale SRLX.

This recommendation is in-line with current health orders designed to minimise public movement and gatherings.

Council apologises for any temporary inconvenience.

Wingecarribee Shire Council reminds all buyers attending Wednesday cattle sales that they must sign-in using the NSW Health QR code and face masks must also be worn within the grounds of the SRLX.

Patrons visiting the SRLX are reminded of the onsite physical distancing restrictions and must not attend if feeling unwell.

For more information about the SRLX visit www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/Facilities/Southern-Regional-Livestock-Exchange or phone 4868 0559.

The Southern Regional Livestock Exchange is located at 205 Berrima Road in Moss Vale.
