Temp closure of Railway Terrace overbridge, Willow Vale

23 December, 2014

The Railway Terrace overbridge in Willow Vale will be closed from Wednesday 28 January to Saturday 31 January 2015 to allow for upgrade work.

John Holland Rail (JHR) has advised the closure will allow for the existing bridge deck and structure to be refurbished.

Railway Terrace overbridge is located off the Hume Highway at Willow Vale and spans the Southern Highlands Rail Line.

JHR maintains the country regional network on behalf of the NSW Government and the planned upgrade follows temporary repair work on the bridge deck earlier this month.

Traffic controllers will be onsite during the January closure and detours will be in place via Braemar Avenue, Willow Vale.

The overbridge will reopen to traffic on Sunday 1 February 2015.

Council reminds road users that the bridge has a 10 tonne maximum load restriction.
