Scheduled roadworks for Scottish Arms roundabout, Bowral

4 February, 2013

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its ongoing road maintenance program, road works are scheduled to commence at the intersection of Boardman Road, Emily Circuit and Rowlands Road, Bowral starting Tuesday 5 February 2013.

Works will involve resurfacing the roundabout at the intersection to improve the road surface quality.

Whilst the intersection and adjacent roads will not be closed during the duration of the works, motorists are advised to expect minor delays and where possible, are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Parking in the immediate vicinity of the intersection – which is located adjacent to the Scottish Arms Hotel – will be restricted during the works.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Weather permitting, the works should be completed by Thursday the 7 February.

The cost of the intersection resurfacing project is estimated to cost $60,000 which is being funded by Council’s Infrastructure Recovery Strategy and Section 94 contributions.
