Scheduled roadworks for Robertson, Canyonleigh, Woodlands and High Range

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its annual bitumen re-sealing program, road works are scheduled to commence on a number of streets in Robertson, Canyonleigh, Woodlands and High Range areas commencing Tuesday 7 January 2014.

Starting Tuesday 7 January, Council contractors will be undertaking bitumen spraying operations across various roads within the shire.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Traffic controllers will be onsite to manage traffic during the works with speed restrictions of 40kph enforceable (24 hours) during the construction period.

Motorists are cautioned to observe the changed traffic conditions, slow down and exercise care when travelling through the work zones.

During the works motorists may experience short delays.

Roads affected include:

  • Belmore Falls Road at Robertson between Charlotte Street to Johnson’s Creek Bridge.
  • Canyonleigh Road between Hume Highway at Sutton Forest and Foxgrove Road at Canyonleigh
  • Old Hume Highway at Woodlands between Box Vale & Wombeyan Caves Roads,
  • Wombeyan Caves at Road High Range between Soapy Flat and Greenhills Roads

On street parking will not be permitted during bitumen spraying operations.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Weather permitting, the works should be completed by Tuesday 14 February 2014.
