Scheduled roadworks for Oxley’s Hill Road, Bowral

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of its ongoing road maintenance program, road works are scheduled to commence on Oxley’s Hill Road starting Thursday 15 September 2011.

The repair works will be undertaken between Oxley’s Hill at Bowral and the Old Hume Highway at Berrima.

Works will involve road shoulder grading, pavement patching and bitumen re-sealing.

Weather permitting, the works should be completed by Thursday 22 September 2011.

Changed Traffic Conditions:

Work will be undertaken by both Council staff and contractors between 7am and 4pm Monday to Fridays.

Speed restrictions of 40kph will apply during these times.

The work zone will be restricted to one way traffic and controlled by traffic lights.

Motorists are cautioned to observe the changed traffic conditions, be aware of heavy plant and equipment on site, slow down and exercise care when travelling through the work zone.

During the works motorists may experience short delays.

Council asks the public to exercise patience during this period and will make every effort to minimise disruptions.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
