Roundabout construction – Wingecarribee and Bendooley Streets, Bowral

2 March, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that roundabout construction works are scheduled to commence at the intersection of Wingecarribee and Bendooley Streets in Bowral from Monday 6 March 2017.

The works are part of Council’s regular capital works program and are designed to improve traffic flow around the immediate area.

Works will involve the decommissioning of the existing intersection and the subsequent construction of a new concrete roundabout.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work area.

Motorists are also reminded to heed the directions of the onsite traffic controllers and be aware of the temporary change to the work zone speed limits.

During construction all efforts will be made to keep the intersection open however some minor delays are expected. Where possible works will be scheduled outside of peak traffic in order to minimise any disruption.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologise for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late March 2017. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
