Road works on Mt Broughton Road, Werai

4 April, 2016

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that road works are scheduled to commence on Mt Broughton Road, Werai from Monday 4 April 2016.

The works will involve widening the shoulder and curve on Mt Broughton Road with a hot mix pavement approximately 400 metres south of Yarrawa Road.

These works are designed to improve sight distances and skid resistance.

New traffic safety signage will also be installed.

At a cost of approximately $228,000, these improvements have been made possible via funding obtained from the Australian Federal Government’s Black Spot Programme.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Weather permitting the works are anticipated to be completed by the end of April 2016.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
