Planned water disruption: Mittagong and surrounding areas

3 October, 2019

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that essential works on the water network in Mittagong are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 9 October 2019.

Works involve the installation of a bypass main at the water reservoir located within Mount Gibraltar Heritage Reserve to increase stored water at the Willow Vale Reservoir.

The work is scheduled to commence at 7.30 am on Wednesday 9 October.  Weather permitting works are anticipated to be completed by 5.30 pm the same day.

During this time some residents may experience a drop in water pressure.

Areas that may be affected include east Mittagong, Renwick, Balaclava, Willow Vale, Braemar, Aylmerton, Alpine, Yerrinbool, Colo Vale and Hill Top.

Council advises customers to minimise non-essential water usage and apologises for the inconvenience.
