Part road closure – Argyle Street, Moss Vale

18 April, 2018

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that the rail overbridge on Argyle Street in Moss Vale will be closed between 6am and 8pm on Saturday 21 April 2018.

The closure is to allow additional works to be carried out on the pedestrian bridge and elevated walkway currently under construction.

Works will involve the lifting of a 38 tonne precast concrete girder by crane. To facilitate the crane lift and ensure the safety of the public, the bridge will be closed to pedestrians and traffic.

To minimise disruptions and to enable staff to work in safety, motorists are advised to detour via Suttor Road.

Signage will be erected advising motorists of the works and detour route.  Traffic controllers will also be stationed on site during work hours.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when travelling through the work zones and be aware of heavy machinery within the work areas.

Works are expected to be complete by late June 2018. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.

Council thanks residents in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

This project is entirely funded by a $1 million grant from the NSW Government.
