Oxley Drive drainage works

22 November, 2019

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that storm water drainage works are scheduled to commence along Oxley Drive, Bowral from Monday 2 December 2019.

The works will involve construction of new storm water drainage, pits and kerb and guttering.  The road pavement will also be reconstructed at the intersection of Oxley Drive and Queen Street.

During construction one lane of Oxley Road will be temporarily closed at the intersection of Queen Street with alternating one-way traffic.  Temporary traffic lights will be installed to minimise disruption.

Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when travelling through the construction zone and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Signage will also be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site, when required, to manage traffic during the works.  Where possible, motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2020. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
