Footpath, kerb and guttering work on Regent Street, Mittagong

25 November, 2011

As part of Wingecarribee Shire Council’s ongoing Infrastructure Recovery Strategy Maintenance Program, Council will be undertaking footpath, kerb and guttering repair works on Regent Street in front of the Police Station in Mittagong.

Subsequent works will impede access to adjoining Ward Lane in Mittagong from Monday 28 November for approximately three weeks.

As part of the works three Camphor Laurel trees located adjacent to the Police Station will be removed to allow re-construction of the footpath, kerb and guttering. Whilst the Camphor Laurels will not be replaced, a suitable replacement species will be planted near the current location.

Changed Traffic Conditions:

Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to observe the changed traffic conditions, be aware of heavy plant and equipment on site and exercise care when travelling through the work zone.

Road warning signage will be erected at the worksite.

During the works motorists may experience short delays and are advised to use alternate routes where possible.

Council asks the public to exercise patience during this period and will make every effort to minimise disruptions.

Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.

Weather permitting construction is expected to be completed by Friday 16 December.
