Drainage works – Lyell Street, Mittagong

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that stormwater drainage works are scheduled to commence on Lyell Street in Mittagong from Monday 10 September 2018.

The works will involve the construction of new stormwater drainage and pits including repairs to the existing kerb and guttering on Lyell Street.

Construction activities will be focused in an area between Cook and William Streets in Mittagong.

During construction sections of the road may be reduced to one-way traffic however the road will remain open to immediate residents and through traffic.  Temporary traffic detours may be required depending on requirements.

Signage will be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site as required, however where possible, motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions including detours, exercise care when travelling through the construction zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

Works are scheduled to be complete by late January 2019.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
