Demolition works Wattle Lane, Bowral

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that demolition works are currently underway on the building at 4 Wattle Lane in Bowral to facilitate the extension of the Banyette Street Car Park.

Demolition works commenced today with the stripping out of internal fixtures and fittings, removal of electrical and mechanical systems and the disconnection and removal of utilities.

Works will continue on the structural components of the building and are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Demolition activities will be carried out between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm weekdays.

During this time, minor traffic delays on Wattle Lane may be experienced and some parts of the adjacent car park will be temporarily affected. Traffic control measures will be put in place when demolition works impact on these areas.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling adjacent to the works being undertaken.

Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.
