Council endorses fees and charges for Aquatic Centre

14 November, 2013

Wingecarribee Shire Councillors last night voted to endorse the proposed Fees and Charges for the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre at its Ordinary Meeting of Council.

Included in the endorsed Fees and Charges were amendments which were included after the draft Fees and Charges were placed on public exhibition from mid-September to mid-October.

Changes included the provision of greater flexibility for Family Admission passes and the introduction of a reduced rate for additional children. Other amendments include the addition of six month and annual aquatic only memberships for both individuals and families.

The centre, which is due to open on the 30 November, will be operated by Belgravia Leisure, whose portfolio includes the management of 62 aquatic centres across Australia.

The Fees and Charges for the Moss Vale War Memorial Aquatic Centre can be viewed on the Centre’s website at www.mvaquatic.com.au or on Council’s website at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au.

At the meeting Council also endorsed a “Community Access” policy for the Centre which aims to ensure that lane space is always available for the general community as opposed to exclusive use. The operators will however use their discretion and may be able to provide full pool access for community groups on occasions where no other patrons are using the facility.
