Construction of Pedestrian Refuge – Bowral Street, Bowral

14 August, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that construction works will be carried out adjacent to Bowral and District Hospital on Bowral Street in Bowral from Monday 21 August 2017.

The work will involve the installation of two pedestrian refuge islands, lighting upgrades and additional ramp and footpath construction work.

During construction sections of the road in the immediate vicinity of the works may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic.  The road will however remain open to residents and through traffic.

Adjacent residents may also be asked to avoid parking in the immediate on-street work zone.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by 1 September 2017.

All timeframes are subject to weather conditions and resource availability.
