CHANGED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS – Meryla Road, Meryla

13 March, 2020

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that temporary delays are expected as a result of increased construction activities on the Gunrock Creek Bridge on Tuesday 17 March 2020.

A crane will be located on-site on Meryla Road adjacent to the side track to lift the new bridge beams into place.

During this process the road will be intermittently closed to through traffic from both directions.

These works are scheduled to take place from 7am to 1pm on Tuesday 17 March 2020.

During this time it is anticipated the road will be intermittently closed for intervals of approximately 30 minutes.

Where possible, road users are encouraged to avoid the area during this installation.

Road users are also cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when traveling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

Construction on the new Gunrock Creek Bridge is expected to be completed by May 2020.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
