Changed traffic conditions – Albion Lane, Mittagong

19 October, 2017

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that sewer main construction works are scheduled to commence on Albion Lane, Mittagong from Monday 30 October 2017.

The works will involve the renewing of the old sewer main and the construction of a new 150mm sewer main by specialist contractor Carve Earthworks.  Construction will be carried out over a distance of 295 metres between the intersections of Main Street with Fitzroy Street and Albion Street (inclusive of the cul-de-sac at Albion Lane).

Hours of construction will be 7.00am to 6.00pm Mondays to Saturdays.

During these construction hours the immediate work area will be temporarily closed to through traffic.  Access will however be made available to immediate properties in Albion Lane.

Road users and pedestrians are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions including detours, exercise care when travelling through the construction zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Signage will also be erected and traffic controllers will be stationed on site to manage traffic during work hours.  Where possible, motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Council thanks motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

The project is scheduled to be completed by late November 2017.  All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
