Cavendish Street roundabout construction

Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that roundabout construction works are scheduled to commence on the Old Hume Highway at the intersection of Cavendish and Frankland Streets in Mittagong from Tuesday 6 April 2021.

Works will include the construction of a reinforced concrete roundabout, stormwater drainage pipes and pits, kerbing and guttering. The adjacent footpath will also be re-newed and street lighting improved.

Construction activities will be carried out between 7.00am and 6.00pm weekdays.

During construction sections of the road may be temporarily reduced to one-way traffic. The road will however remain open to through traffic with property access maintained.

Road users are cautioned to follow the changed traffic conditions, exercise care when travelling through the work zones and be aware of loose stones and heavy machinery within the work areas.

Council thanks residents and motorists in advance for their cooperation and apologises for any temporary delays or inconvenience.

Works are expected to be completed by the end of May 2021. All timeframes are subject to weather conditions.
