Bitumen sealing of Lake Alexandra car park, Queen Street Mittagong
Wingecarribee Shire Council wishes to advise that as part of the next stage of the Queen Street refurbishments at Lake Alexandra in Mittagong, Council will begin upgrades to the Lake Alexandra car parks starting Wednesday 13 March 2013.
The upgrade – which is currently running ahead of schedule – will involve bitumen sealing of the car parks.
The works will require the Queen Street car parks to be closed for approximately four weeks effective immediately.
Council apologises for any delays or inconvenience.
Alternative parking will be available on the eastern and western sides of the lake, in Pioneers Street and the service road.
Alternative access to Lake Alexandra can be found via Pioneer Street (past the tennis courts) and the pedestrian foot bridge.
Weather permitting, the works should be completed by mid April 2013.
