Aquatic Centre Land Use Application lodged for Moss Vale

14 December, 2011

Wingecarribee Shire Council has lodged a Land Use Application (LUA) for the proposed Indoor Aquatic Centre at Moss Vale and will be notifying neighbouring properties and stakeholders in coming days.

The application follows a lengthy community consultation period and engagement of an architect which resulted in significant changes to the design of the aquatic centre.

Scott Lee, Director Environment and Planning, said “I urge the community to take a look at the new plans and supporting documents submitted for the Moss Vale Indoor Aquatic Centre and consider making a formal submission.

“The Land Use Application will be assessed by Council planning staff and their report and recommendations will then be independently reviewed by Wollondilly Shire Council before being considered by Councillors at a meeting in March next year.”

The application and accompanying plans can be inspected at Council’s libraries, Customer Service Centre and all swimming pools until 31 January 2012. The documents are also available online atwww.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au

Written submissions of support or in objection to the proposal can be lodged before 4.30pm, Tuesday 31 January 2012. All submissions must be in writing and accompanied by a Disclosure Statement of Political Donations and Gifts. Please note that submissions can be available to the applicant, Council and the public or accessed through provisions of the Government Information Act 2009.
