Launch of Destination Southern Highlands branded waste trucks

Welcome to the launch of our brand new tourism waste trucks.

Trucks – that as you can see double as advertising billboards – which will shortly be doing multiple runs up and down the Hume Highway every day.

Apart from being able to carry over 100 cubic metres of waste per load to our Camden processing facility, these mobile tourism billboards will be showcasing just some of our Shire’s iconic experiences to thousands of potential visitors each and every day.

Visitors that may be former guests that need a gentle reminder of our region’s wonderful charms, or perhaps first-time interstate guests using one of Australia’s busiest inter-city highways.

Congratulations to both Council’s Business Services and Destination Southern Highlands Teams on this unique and innovative promotional initiative.

An initiative which I understand is a first in NSW for regional tourism marketing.

On behalf of Council may I also welcome on board JR Richards as our new waste contractor, and also thank them for their involvement on this project which I understand is one of their more unusual custom jobs.
