Resource Recovery Centre to undertake summer Clean Up

Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Resource Recovery Centre is set to undertake its annual Shire-wide Summer Clean Up starting in Mittagong and Welby this February.

The Clean Up is available to all current domestic users and is operated on a pre-book and pre-paid basis.

Old furniture, dismantled white goods, metals for recycling, sawn timber off-cuts, wrapped glass and mirrors, broken toys, old cutlery and crockery, disassembled swing sets and flower pots are some of the items that can be disposed of.

General household waste including food scraps, green waste, domestic recycling, demolition materials such as fibro, asbestos, bricks, concrete, rocks and sand, chemicals and poisons, fencing wire, gas bottles, car tyres and batteries, televisions and computer monitors will not be accepted.

Collections cannot exceed two cubic metres and all items left for collection must be able to be handled by a maximum of two people.

All items for collection must be left out on the Sunday before the scheduled collection week.

Bookings and payments can be made up to the week before the start of collections.

Payments in cash can be made at Council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre orResource Recovery Centre located on Berrima Road, Moss Vale.

Cheques and credit cards are also accepted.

A flat rate of $45.50 with a 1% surcharge for credit cards applies for each collection.
