Final preparations are underway as Wingecarribee Shire Council gears up for the 2019 NSW Seniors Festival.

The festival will run from Wednesday 13 to Sunday 24 February 2019.

Council’s Ageing and Disability Officer Nicola Robson explained that NSW Seniors Festival provides an opportunity to celebrate the value that older people bring to our region.

The theme of the 12-day festival is Love your life, encouraging seniors to live active, healthy and social lives.

Events throughout the festival period include a leisure and travel expo, bus trips, movies, concerts, library activities and more.

“With over 30 events planned for this year’s festival, we’re confident we’ve got something for everybody,” Ms Robson said.

Returning for this year is the option of online bookings through Council’s website.

“We know more and more older people are confident computer users and this will allow them to browse and book events at their leisure and at a time that is convenient to them,” Ms Robson said.  “However we’re still more than happy to take bookings over the phone or at our Moss Vale Civic Centre.”

Bookings open Monday 21 January 2019.

To view the full program of events visit www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/seniors or contact Council on phone    4868 0888.

Hard copy booklets will be distributed early January 2019.
