Nattai Ponds draft flood study report on exhibition

Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on residents to view the draft Stage 1 – Nattai Ponds Flood Study which goes on exhibition as of Friday 6 May 2016.

The Flood Study was completed using data from previous storm events, computer modelling and historical information collected from local residents.

This draft document forms part of Council’s Floodplain Risk Management Program which aims to reduce the impact of flooding on the community and help better prepare, predict and manage future flood events.

The Nattai Ponds draft flood study can be viewed at Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong libraries, the Moss Vale Civic Centre or online at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/development/whats-on-public-exhibition.  The draft flood study report can also be viewed online at www.nattaiponds.floodstudy.com.au.

Submissions must be received by Council no later than 4pm on Wednesday 15 June 2016 and be made in writing to:

The draft report is one of five flood studies made possible via a quarter of a million dollar grant obtained from the NSW State Government in 2015 to help better manage and prepare for future flood events.
