Mittagong Swimming Centre is back in action with the pool set to reopen this Saturday 14 December.

The popular pool was closed in late-October following a plant failure in the balance tank of the facility.

Council’s Manager of Open Space, Recreation and Building Maintenance, Greg Bray thanked swimmers for their patience.

“Mittagong Swimming Pool is not only the Shire’s oldest public swimming pool but arguably one of the prettiest,” he said.

“We know this unscheduled closure was an inconvenience for our patrons and to thank them for their understanding we’re throwing open the gates this Saturday and Sunday with free entry over the weekend.”

The swimming centre features a 50 metre outdoor pool, 25 metre lap lane, ‘Learn to Swim’ area with accessible ramp and toddler wading area with splash pad and water toys.

Gates open at 8.30am this Saturday 14 December 2019.

Mittagong Swimming Centre is located on Hawkins Drive in Mittagong.
