Mittagong Pool opens doors for 2013/14 swim season

Mittagong Pool will be the first public pool to open this weekend as Wingecarribee Shire Council prepares for the upcoming swimming season.

The pool officially opens on Saturday 12 October.

Operating hours will be 6.00am to 9.00am and 2.00pm to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. Limited recreational swimming will be available on Monday nights from 5:15pm to 8:00pm and on Tuesday nights from 4:15pm to 8.00pm when the facility will remain open for Water Polo.

Mittagong Swim Club meet at the pool from 6.00pm on Friday evenings.

Weekend operating hours have been extended at Mittagong Pool with the Centre now opening from 9.00am on Saturdays and 10.00am on Sundays and Public Holidays. The pool will close at 6.00pm on weekends.

During the Christmas School Holidays Council will extend the swimming hours and the pool will remain open uninterrupted from 6.00am to 6.00pm on weekdays.

The Whale Tail pool inflatable toy will be doing the rounds again this season so keep an eye out or ask at your local pool for further details.

Bowral and Bundanoon Pools will open in November.

All Council pools are heated to 24 degrees.
