Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Library Services has strengthened its online presence with the launch of a new and improved website.

Council’s Information Services Librarian Rebecca Finlaison said it took 11 months to plan and develop the new look website.

“We’ve deliberately tried to freshen up the site and make it easier to navigate,” she said. “Visitors can browse new release books, keep up to date with the latest library news and check out what’s on with a program and events calendar.”

Other new features include a responsive display for mobile devices as well as a suite of helpful online resources.

Library membership is required to access some of the online services, however, membership is free for Shire residents and it is easy to join.

Council’s new library website was designed by WISDOM Design and funded by the NSW State Government’s Local Priority Grants Project 2017/18.

“We are pleased with the incredible amount of input we received from everyone involved in the new website,” said Rebecca.

“We look forward to receiving feedback from our community on ways we can continue to improve their Library experience.”
