Mobile recycling trailer parked in carpark

Your household problem waste will soon be less problematic, thanks to the roll-out of our new, purpose-designed, Community Recycling Collection trailer. A first for Wingecarribee Shire, this mobile service will collect from each of our villages, at least one day per week.

“We surveyed residents widely about recycling, and one of the main barriers to participating was not being able to get into the Moss Vale recycle centre regularly, or lacking a trailer needed to transport problem waste,” says Clinton….”Council successfully pursued the grant funding needed to design and build a Community Recycling Collection Trailer, fit for the purpose.”

The initiative will enhance waste services for Wingecarribee residents by providing the convenience of regular recycling and household problem waste removal, from a centrally located collection point within their local community.

“The mobile service is expected to be up-and-running within 3-6 months, once we finalise the fit-out and operational side of coordinating Shire-wide collection.” Clinton said.

What sort of waste will be collected?

“We’ll pick up many of the items most people find difficult to dispose of, like polystyrene, motor oils, paint, gas bottles, batteries and fire extinguishers.”  Find out where your local collection point will be, and the details of what you can and can’t leave there atat wsc.nsw.gov.au/Facilities/Community-Recycling-Centre.

Keep an eye on our socials. We’ll post an alert once this service goes live.
