Arts Studio Trail

Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from studios and artists wishing to participate in the 2019 Southern Highlands Art Studio Trail.

“The Art Studio Trail gives the public a rare opportunity to meet the makers, to see their work in the environment within which it was created and to buy direct from the studio door,” said Council’s Cultural Development Officer, Erin Adams.

Last year forty studios were involved in the scheme attracting close to 1,500 studio visitors over the two-week period.

“Patrons told us they loved browsing the studios and speaking to the artists while others relished the opportunity to buy pieces direct from the workshop floor,” said Erin.

All participating studios will be required to open on both weekends of the trail and participating artists and studios must be located within the Wingecarribee Shire.

The 2019 Southern Highlands Art Studio Trail will run over the weekend of the 2 and 3 November and again the following weekend of the 9 and 10 November.

To submit an Expression of Interest visit www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/southern-highlands-arts-festival-and-art-studio-trail.

For further information, contact Council’s Cultural Development Officer Erin Adams on phone 4868 0888.

Expressions of Interest must be received by 4 pm on Thursday 13 June 2019.

The Southern Highlands Art Studio Trail is a Wingecarribee Shire Council initiative organised in consultation with participating artists.
