Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking comment from residents after councillors endorsed the draft Wingecarribee Youth Strategy and Action Plan 2016 – 2026 at the last Ordinary Meeting of Council.

Council’s Youth Liaison Officer, Michelle Williams explained the purpose of the draft strategy.

“The draft Wingecarribee Youth Strategy and Action Plan looks at the contribution that our young people make to our Shire and focuses on areas of concern that are important to them,” she said.

“The aim is to prioritise areas of action that will build a better Highlands community that includes our youngest citizens.”

The draft Wingecarribee Youth Strategy and Action Plan was unanimously endorsed by councillors and placed on public exhibition at the beginning of the week.

“We encourage as many residents as possible to view the draft strategy and action plan and make comment by the closing date,” Ms Williams said.
