Wingecarribee Shire Council is seeking comment from the community after councillors tonight endorsed the draft Operational Plan, Budget and Revenue Policy 2015-16 including Fees and Charges which go on public exhibition next week.

The draft documents represent Council’s response to public input gathered from Wingecarribee 2031+, Council’s long-term community plan for the Southern Highlands.

Wingecarribee Shire Council’s Deputy General Manager Operations, Finance and Risk, Mr Barry Paull, said the documents were an opportunity for residents to comment on Council’s immediate program of works and future agenda.

“Together, these documents foreshadow our upcoming works and help us to allocate the financial, physical and human resources to meet these projects,” Mr Paull said.

“In brief, they will help detail both our immediate goals and funding priorities we will commit to over the next twelve months and help provide a blueprint for our future program of works.”

Key focal points of this year’s document include strengthening Council operations, improving efficiencies and investing in asset renewals.

The draft documents will be on exhibition from Monday 13 April until Sunday 10 May 2015.

The documents can be viewed online at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au and www.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au or at Council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre and at Council’s libraries.

Feedback and submissions must be made by midnight 10 May 2015 via email at: wscmail@wsc.nsw.gov.au or in writing addressed to the General Manager at;

  •  PO Box 141, Moss Vale, 2577

“We invite all of our residents to provide us with feedback, because ultimately, these documents will help set the future agenda of our Shire”.
